Trip Overview

Kyazo ri Peak is among the fairly summated trekking peaks in Mahalangur Himalayan Range positioned as highest summit of southern part of Everest region. Altitude to 6186 meters height from sea level, Kyazo Ri stands as one of the classic peaks of this region. The peak runs all the way to the north of Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Himalaya, forming a long line of peaks heading to meet Mt. Cho Oyu near the Tibetan border. Sandwiched between the Thame valley from west and Gokyo valley from east, the peak was first officially ascended by a Franco-British team during the year 2002, the year when the peak was formally opened for climbing. The most favored route to this climbing involves the same one leading to Gokyo valley.

Though isolated, this climbing offers some fascinating views of Himalayan peaks including Mt. Everest (8848 m), Mt. Nuptse (7879 m), Mt. Lhotse (8551 m), Mt. Makalu (8475 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6856 m) and possibly others. The journey offers wonderful opportunity to explore hidden natural phenomena of this region: yak pastures, eye-catching waterfalls, immaculate Sherpa villages, green meadows, and stunning mountain panoramas which makes it perfect mountaineering undertaking.

This trail involves significant technical ascend, so the one with good physical stamina and some past climbing experience is most benefited. Ascending with properly trained guide, and well structured itinerary calls for easy climbing. The most usual itinerary for Kyazo Ri peak climbing is provided below. However, Blaze mountain adventure are pleased to amend things as per your convenience. Blaze mountain adventure operates Kyazo Ri peak climbing throughout the year.
