Khongma-tse, also celebrated as Mehra peak, is among the rarely endeavored trekking peak in Khumbu Himalayan region. The peak stands 5849 meters tall in Solukhumbu district of Nepal. The peak has been classified as group “B” climbing peak by NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association). Peak pleasingly stands above the Khumbu glacier, north to Kongma La pass. It is among the small settlements of southwest ridge of Mt. Nuptse spreading between the Khumbu and Nuptse glaciers.

The climbing offers ever striking views of Himalayan peaks including mighty Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Ama Dablam and among others. The Himalayan views are so incredible that one feel like having trip up to snow paradise.  The peak appears to have diamond shaped glacier hanging above the steep rock massif to make up its north face. The view from the east of Kongma la pass illustrates a small glacier running down from the summit along the long and rocky chain that makes up the south and southeast ridge of the peak. Being at the altitude, one can also relish the splendid view of Mt. Pumori. The journey is worth of challenge for it requires climbing through glaciers and ascending up the rocks.
