Referred as the highest trekking peak in Nepal, Mera Peak (6654 m) is the most popular climbing peak among the various adventurous peaks situated in this Himalayan heartland. Though being challenging and physically demanding, this peak is not so difficult technically. We can explore traditional Sherpa villages of the Khumbu, secluded pine and rhododendron forests of the Hinku valley, while trekking from Lukla to Mera base camp. These are the additional rewards along with the feeling of accomplishment of summiting the peak. The arrangements in Mera base camp and Mera high camp allows proper acclimatization, which is a generally necessary in order to have successful summiting of the peak.
