Overview

Having the repute of the most popular 7,000ers in the world, Mt. Pumori (7,162 m) is site in the Khumbu region and neighbors the mighty Everest. The name “Pumori” was climb by George Leigh Mallory, which, in Sherpa tongue means “Unmarried Daughter”.  First ascended  in 1964 by Gerard Lenser, a member of German Swiss expedition team, Pumori has since then been an ideal peak for those who want to explore the might of a 7,000er. Also Pumori expedition can be a great reward for those who want to climb a more technical and demanding 7,000er, offering wild encounter of gigantic boulders, steep and narrow ridges, ice walls, cliffs and crevasses.

Pumori is undoubtedly a great place to assess your mountaineering capabilities, where you can have the maximum use of your climbing skills and techniques. This peak used as a training peak before venturing into the expedition trip of technically difficult 8,000ers. Our team will follow classic route along the South-East Ridge.

Four camps are set during the expedition; base camp will set up at the elevation of 5300m, camp 1 at 5700m, camp 2 at 6200m and camp 3 at 6480m.  The journey to the Pumori itself will be a fascinating experience; the fun, the adventure, the thrill and the excitement will provide you an excellent chance to rejuvenate yourself.
