Within the average extension of 200 km along north south dimension, Nepal boasts extreme climatic features ranging from southern tropical to northern alpine climatic outlook. However, this is the best time to watch cascading waterfalls in the high mountain region and enjoy the adventure of water sports.

Autumn (September-November)

This is the best time to visit Nepal with summer gone by and the winter to set in. The weather is amazingly pleasing with dry atmosphere and mild temperature spreading all around. The trekking stuffs are best done during this season as temperature stands cool and mountain views are clear and untainted to amaze your eyes. Autumn is also marked with grand celebration of most of the Hindu festivals including Dashain, Tihar, Teej, Chath, and many among others.

Winter (December-February)

This season is largely appropriate to travel into the lower region i.e. below 3000 m of Nepal. The weather is cool with occasional snowfalls at higher elevations and the sky is promisingly clear. The morning and nights are cold while days are warm when sunny.
Clothing Tips:  The extreme climatic condition varying within this small geographical spread requires everyone to have considerable care on clothing. During June to August, lightweight and tropical clothes with umbrella are advise. Between October and March, lightweight clothes with coat for evenings are desirable. When trekking in the mountains, the high quality trekking gears with warm clothes are appropriate to handle freezing minus temperatures.
