Trip Highlights:
Best Season for this Trip:
Spring, from March to May, really stands out for the Everest Panorama View Trek. The weather’s just right warm enough to be comfortable, but not too hot. You walk through these trails bursting with bright rhododendrons, fresh green hills, and all sorts of lively alpine plants. Plus, the sky clears up, letting you see Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and a whole string of Himalayan giants.
Autumn, which runs from September to November, is another great window for the trek. Lots of folks come during this time, and it’s no wonder. Once the monsoon wraps up, you get crisp air and those famous, sharp mountain views. The weather calms down, trails are dry, and temperatures are friendly so you get a safer, smoother trek with plenty of those breathtaking sights everyone’s after.
Now, winter (December to February) and monsoon season (June to August) don’t draw as many people, and for good reasons. Winter means cold, sometimes bitterly so, along with some snow up high. Then, when the monsoon rolls in, heavy rains turn trails slippery, mountains hide behind clouds, and flights to Lukla get delayed. Still, if you want peace, quiet, and don’t mind a bit more effort, these off-seasons have their own charm just make sure you come prepared.
Food and Accommodations on Trip:
Teahouses or lodges that prevail in the route are run by local Sherpa families who provide accommodation for this trek. The teahouses have a common room and twin-sharing beds with warm blankets, along with basic facilities. Down below altitudes, such as Lukla or Namche Bazaar, attached bathrooms and hot showers will be provided; however, it might get different when the altitude rises. A sleeping bag may be a good idea during the colder months because some people can get cold.
Teahouses dot the route and serve a variety of food to the trekkers. Dal Bhat, rice, lentils, vegetables, noodles, soups, momos, Tibetan bread, pancakes, and porridge are standard fare on the menu. Pasta, pizza, and omelets can be had in some places. A significant number of hot drinks are popular among trekkers as they help to increase body temperature and energy level, and these include tea, coffee, and ginger lemon honey tea.
