Best Season for this Trip:

May to September is the ideal period when you should take the Kailash Mansarovar Tour as the weather over the Tibetan Plateau is at its best and most stable. Besides, during these months, the skies are usually clear, which means that you will enjoy the views of the holy Mount Kailash and the blue water of Lake Mansarovar without any interruptions. Also, the temperature is suitable for walking and sightseeing on foot, and the roads are much easier to use than during the cold winter months. Also, as this is the main pilgrimage time, you will have a chance to see people not only from Nepal, India, and Tibet but also from other parts of the world, and the whole journey will have a special spiritual vibe.People who want to enjoy the warm weather and the clear visibility of mountains prefer to travel in May and June. The air is crisp after the snow, and the nature is coming to life, making the pilgrimage route more beautiful.

Also, the peaks being covered in snow add to the scenery. The months of July and August are Monsoon months for Nepal, where the drive from the main city to the border will be raining. Though, since the Tibetan Plateau is a rain-shadow region, the area around Kailash is hardly getting any rain as compares to other Himalayan destinations. September is a fabulous month too where the air is fresh, the number of people is less, and the Mount Kailash and the valley views are some of the clearest ones.

Strictly speaking, the only time one can do the tour is during the summer season. But the best time to do the tour in winter is from October to April. Still, heavy snowfall, freezing temperatures, and road closures may make travel difficult and sometimes even impossible. High mountain passes can be very dangerous, there are fewer places to stay, and the extreme cold can impact both comfort and safety. To enjoy your Kailash Mansarovar Tour to the fullest, you should go between May and September when nature, weather, and spiritual energy together bring one of the most memorable pilgrimages and the beautiful surrounding.

Food and Accommodations on Trip:

During the Kailash Mansarovar Tour, you will have delightful, healthy, and energizing meals prepared with a lot of effort and great care for the local travelers' health and most of the time the meals will be inline with the local customs and traditions. A glorious choice of Nepali Indian Tibetan, and continental dishes is available at Nepal in Kathmandu and Pokhara while the diets in Tibet First and foremost consist of vegetarian dishes including rice dal noodles, fried rice, vegetable curries soups chapati, tea, and light snacks, etc. Since the route is at high altitude, it means that digesting food at ease will help your body to acclimatize and have enough energy throughout the pilgrimage. Accommodation is very much dependent on the place and at each location you will be given the best possible facilities.

In Kathmandu and Pokhara you will be staying in comfortable, standard and well furnished tourist hotels, while during the Tibetan itinerary accommodation is mostly in clean hotels, guesthouses, or pilgrim lodges that have very basic facilities. The comfort level of the rooms in the remote areas might be lower than that of the city hotels but they will be sufficiently comfortable for a good night's sleep after the day's activities. Blaze Mountain has handpicked every overnight stop so that your Kailash Mansarovar journey is safe, clean and comfortable from start to finish.
