Trip Highlights:
Best Season for this Trip:
The best time for rock climbing in Pokhara is autumn, from September to November, and spring, from March to May. The weather stays dry, the air is clear, and you won’t have to deal with uncomfortable heat or cold just perfect climbing days. In autumn, you get those jaw-dropping mountain views and fresh air after the rains. Spring’s got blooming hills and warm, sunny days, especially if you’re climbing near Sarangkot.
You can still climb most of the year, but the monsoon from June to August really isn’t great. The rocks get slippery, rain pours down, and it’s just not safe. Winter’s still possible if you catch a sunny day, but mornings can be pretty cold. If you want the best and safest experience, stick with autumn or spring. That’s when rock climbing in Pokhara is really at its best.
