Mt. Makalu (8463 m) the 5th  highest mountain in the world is a true geographic wonder; with four sharp ridges it stands as a natural pyramid of Khumbu region. Lying 14 miles southeast of Mt. Everest, Makalu expedition  is one of the rarely attempt mountains of Nepal. May 15, 1955 marks the date of first successful ascent to the peak which was made by Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy of a French expedition led by Jean Franco on. We will attempt the summit from south east face.

The walking trip will start at Tumlingtar from where we’ll trek through the fascinating villages, lush forests, and rugged terrains to the base camp of Mt. Makalu. The splendid view of Himalayan mountains like Everest, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Peak 38, Pumori, Barunste, Chamlan, Kanchanjunga, Jannu Himal etc will certainly be a visual delight to the climbers.
